School Council
At Hillcrest, we value the contribution that young people can make to their community; be it on a school or local level. Pupils have a voice via the Class and School Councils. We invite pupils from Years 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 classes to put themselves forward to be voted, by their classmates, onto our School Council. These elected representatives attend meetings in school to discuss matters such as fundraising and other school issues. The School Council are also involved in our community by attending meetings with the Mayor, Deputy Mayor, Clerk, Community Councillor and a neighbouring primary school at our local Town Council, where local issues feature on the agenda. Having made notes on proceedings, the School Council then return to school and feedback to their respective classes.
