Mars Class

Welcome to Mars!

I am Miss. Smith, the class teacher. Alongside me is our fabulous teaching assistant Mrs.
Steel. We are one of the three Year 4 classes, with Titan and Saturn. Children in Mars are
seen as individuals who can achieve anything that they dream.

Mars is the fourth planet from the Sun and the second-smallest planet in the Solar System
after Mercury. However, Mars was also the Roman god of war and second only to Jupiter.
So, don’t undermine us!

Children in Mars are creative, enthusiastic and always ready to learn! As a class, we have
created an environment that is built upon respect for one another, fun, and support for
each other. Our main focus this year is Independent Learning where children will build upon
the skills they already have and develop their questioning, respect for the work they
produce and utilise 3B4T.

Alongside this, all year 4 children should all be aiming for their timetables star so they can
rock their multiplication test at the end of the year. We need to be practicing these
whenever we can, especially at home!

Through the TLC curriculum, the children will open the door to a world of dragons, wolves,
robots, and so much more! A love of reading is stimulated through this curriculum and our
tremendous selection of books encourage children to holistically develop.
We look forward to what can only be a fantastic year!
