Italian club will take place on a Thursday lunch time, beginning later in the Autumn Term, and is offered to all children in
Year Two. It runs for the whole academic year.
We learn Italian through speaking and listening activities such as games, rhymes
and songs. We also learn lots of vocabulary and phrases, as well as learning
about Italian traditions and places in Italy.
The children really enjoy learning a new language and there are lots of benefits
too, such as a greater understanding of the world around them and awareness of
similarities and differences between cultures. Research has also shown that
learning a language encourages flexible thinking and good communication skills.
