Welcome to Planets Class!

My name is Miss Longworth and I am the class teacher of Planets Class with the support of our wonderful Teaching Assistants, Mrs Drake and Mrs Barnes. We look forward to having a fun year with lots of learning taking place along the way!

In Planets class we base our learning around stimulating core texts including ‘Little Red Hen’ which allow us to develop a love of learning and reading.

We aim to have a classroom environment that makes individuals feel safe and comfortable to explore and challenge their learning so that they can realise their full potential. In Year 2 we are continuing to develop the children’s independence through Hillcrest’s 5 C’s and 3B4T to prepare them for the transition into Key Stage 2.
