Welcome to Saturn Class! 

 Hello we are Mrs Farr and Mrs Whittaker and we are very excited to be teaching year 4 this year. Mrs Farr will be teaching on a Monday and Tuesday and Mrs Whittaker will be teaching on a Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. We’re looking forward to a year of learning fun and adventure; catching dragons, stealing Aztec jewels and designing robots, as well as delving into different versions of some well-known traditional tales. Year four’s TLC books are amazing! We will have loads of fun acting them out and discovering a world of fantastic descriptive vocabulary that we can use in our own fictional stories.  

 Saturn is unique among the planets; it is not the only planet to have rings - made of chunks of ice and rock - but none are as spectacular or as complicated as Saturn's. Saturn class is going to be spectacular; investigating lots of different scientific questions and doing experiments to promote discovery and learning. The children will get time, space and resources to exercise their curiosity. Class discussion will take place and key questions will be answered.  

Mrs Farr loves bringing excitement and curiosity into every lesson, especially through outdoor learning, singing and drama. With a real passion for science, she encourages children to ask questions, explore the world around them and discover the joy of being curious! 

Mrs Whittaker loves getting creative through art, crafts and creative writing. She enjoys coming up with new ideas, trying different techniques, and finding imaginative solutions to challenges. Whether she's making, writing or designing, she loves bringing creativity into everything she does. 

Joining us on our journey will be Mrs Barnes, our teaching assistant, and Mrs Farmer, our HLTA, who will support the children’s learning while encouraging independence, promoting confidence and self-esteem as well as motivation and perseverance.
