Year 6 Pupils make the Newspaper and Radio!

We are excited to be in the EDP and on BBC Radio Norfolk; where pupils talk about their imminent trip to Sweden.

Hillcrest has been part of an International project with schools in Sweden since Mr Try first visited the country 18 months ago. Since then several members of the teaching staff have also been out to visit along with a teacher from Vasteras visiting Hillcrest in 2018.

Mr Martin and the Year 4 team piloted a new model of learning towards independence in September 2018, with the project being rolled out to Years 4, 5 and 6 from September 2019.

The trip to Sweden will see our Year 6 pupils spend a week in a school in Vasteras. Where they will experience first hand how, from a young age, Swedish independence is encouraged.
