Schools must achieve sufficient PROGRESS scores in all three subjects. The government calculate a progress measure for each pupil and an average is assigned to a school for each subject.  A score of 0, indicates the expected level of progress.  However, the minimum standard set by the government was:  -5 in Reading, -5 in Maths and -7 in Writing.
