Hello and welcome to Comets class! My name is Miss Hancox and I am the class teacher. We are very lucky to have Mrs Barber and Miss Green as our teaching assistants too. We work closely with Mrs Sivell, who will often be in the classroom when I am not. 

In Year 2, we are lucky to cover fantastic TLC texts, with a range of different topics and themes. It is these TLC texts, which underpin our learning and help us to create interactive displays and inviting activities for your child. Additionally, this allows us to dive into our curriculum and explore the learning objectives set out in the National Curriculum.  

Year 2 is an exciting year, which sees us continue to support your child in becoming an independent member of Comets Class, who by the end of the year, is ready to continue their journey into KS2.  

Comets class will continue to have outdoor learning sessions every week, where we get to explore the Forest School area. The children absolutely loved this in Year 1 and used their 5Cs throughout every session. We cannot wait for this year.
